Suction technology has now established itself not only in the construction sector, but also for cleaning or retrofitting work. What used to be a laborious and expensive manual task can now be carried out by the suction excavator with outstanding speed. The cleaning of the tunnel slot channels can be done in one night without causing major traffic disruptions.
In order to comply with legal regulations, the safety equipment in many tunnels needs to be retrofitted. In order to carry out this work, the installed pipes in the individual shafts must be exposed. These shafts are filled with sand for fire protection reasons. The material is extracted in a short time and without any risk of damage to the installed power and communication lines. Once the work has been completed, it can be reused.
