GLrackbed renovation & track cleaning

The ballast bed on track systems requires maintenance because rainwater must always be able to drain properly into the substructure. The ballast needs its edges and the spaces between them in order to fulfill its function properly. At some point, the old dull ballast must be replaced with new sharp-edged ballast.

The excavation of the ballast between the sleepers can usually only be carried out manually due to the limited space available. The suction excavator is the fast alternative to expensive manual work. Thanks to its powerful air flow, the ballast is sucked out quickly and effortlessly, even in the tightest spaces. The material is temporarily stored in the collection chamber and can be easily cleaned or disposed of later.

TRACK BED CLEANING

Transport companies and railroad administrations attach great importance to clean stops and sections of track. Newspapers, cups, cigarettes, etc. carelessly discarded by passengers are not only unattractive accessories, but also a serious hazard when unfortunate circumstances coincide. The abrasive particles that accumulate after regular grinding work on the rail head must also be removed if the track is slippery.

The combination of a suction excavator with two-way technology enables fast and efficient cleaning of contaminated areas.
