RSS - THE SAFE STEERING SYSTEM
Machine development at RSP stands for the permanent pursuit of even more safety, even more reliability and even more efficiency. This naturally applies to all areas of a suction excavator. For safety reasons, all chassis manufacturers prohibit active intervention in the vehicle’s steering system. RSP has therefore developed the RSS steering system. This is a universally adaptable and safe system that can be used to remotely steer all vehicle types. The steering forces correspond to the steering movement by the driver.
The RSP RSS steering system is simply placed on the steering wheel and fixed in place with quick-release fasteners. It enables safe operation of the optional travel drive with the radio remote control. By operating the ergonomically shaped joystick, the steering wheel in the cockpit is turned faster or slower, depending on the intensity. When the joystick is released, the wheels remain in the last steered position. The sensitive steering enables precise navigation on the construction site and requires only a few steering corrections.
SAFE DRIVING AND STEERING VIA RADIO
The hydraulic drive enables the machine to be moved during the suction process. This equipment significantly increases efficiency, especially when vacuuming longer distances or areas. RSP offers various implementation options for this. All technical options are controlled via a joystick with safety controls.
